WISDOM TEETH EXTRACTION

Wisdom teeth removal with patients being put to sleep with IV Sedation.

Wisdom teeth, also known as third molars, are the last teeth to develop and frequently become impacted due to limited space in the jaw. When this occurs, they can contribute to pain, crowding of adjacent teeth, tooth decay, and periodontal disease. Often, patients are referred to have wisdom teeth removed before they start to create problems.

As specialists in oral and maxillofacial surgery, Dr. Carl Kimbler and Dr. Kirsten Kimbler have advanced training and extensive experience in the management and removal of wisdom teeth.

IV Sedation - also referred to as being “put to sleep,” is used to help patients feel relaxed and decreases awareness during the procedure.

Our Process

  • Plan

Together, we outline a path forward that’s realistic, strategic, and tailored to your specific case. The doctor will review all of your medical history and x-rays to determine the best path forward.

  • Procedure

Our staff and doctors will administer the appropriate anesthesia to help make the procedure as comfortable as possible during the wisdom teeth removal. You will need a driver, and they will need to stay for the duration of the procedure in our waiting room.

  • Post-Operation

After a recovery period you will be instructed on how to care for the extraction sites. See our post-operative instructions here.

  • Follow-Up

A follow-up call will be made in one week to check on healing progress.
